AUT’s school of Design Creative Technologies, housed on Level 1 of the WT building, wanted to create a new and more welcoming entrance which was more representative of the school, along with a full refurbishment of the rest of the floor. The project ran over the summer of 2014-2015 and incorporated a new video wall at the entrance as well as opening up a number of spaces to make the most of natural light. New meeting spaces, offices, open plan, a new kitchen and a student space were all created.
The project team worked really well together and the outcome was successful:
- Time was tight for a full floor fit-out, however the whole project team kept a high degree of communication and the project opened on time.
