AUT’s WU Building was given a refresh in 2015 which included a new roof and full retrofit of the top two floors (levels 4 and 5) to house the University Post Graduate Centre. The two levels comprised an open computer lab, shared learning, a student lounge, video conferencing rooms, student collaboration rooms, a 26 seat conference room and office accommodation.
The new HVAC system was fed from the plant in the neighbouring AUT Building, which had undergone and upgrade in the summer of 2015.
Clever new geometric furniture was utilised to maximise shared learning space, and provide a more contemporary look and feel.
